Navy & PTAC outreach & training Sept. 12

EVERETT — The U.S. Navy throughout Puget Sound makes substantial purchases of goods and services from local businesses, which can now learn the basics of selling to the Navy — what and how the Navy buys — and understand the fundamentals of marketing in any federal contracting environment.

Discover the resources available to small businesses from your local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and meet representatives from Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, Naval Undersea Warfare Center and Keyport on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Workforce Development Council Board room at the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County offices, located in Suite 217 at 728 134th St. SW in Everett, will host this free-of-charge presentation by the Northwest Washington PTAC, which will be followed by an opportunity to network with Navy representatives.

Lunch will not be provided, and registration is required and limited to small businesses with products or services applicable to Navy requirements. Register online at http://washingtonptac.org/events-workshops. For assistance, contact Jean Hales by phone at 425-248-4223 or via email at snohomish@washingtonptac.org.
