“Many more customers have gone online to do business with us,” PUD Communications and Marketing Director Julee Cunningham said. “Our website saves customers’ time, with features such as online bill payment. It’s also loaded with information to help them save energy, be prepared for winter storms and better manage their bills.”The EnergyAdvisor calculators enable customers to answer common questions about their homes’ energy use, and to identify low-cost improvements and investments to save money. Specific calculators offer information about thermostat adjustments, televisions, appliances, compact fluorescent lights, holiday lighting and more. An educational “Kids Korner” provides engaging educational content for students, parents and teachers.

“The EnergyAdvisor is one of the most useful tools I have come across,” said Cash Ramnath of Everett. “I was able to compare and see where I could save on energy costs by simply entering some parameters. This is an excellent way of collaborating and helping build a smarter planet.”

The PUD’s popular “SnoPAY” option lets customers go paperless and save postage with online payments. They can pay their PUD bills by transferring money electronically from their checking or savings accounts, or use credit or debit cards, except for pre-paid credit cards. They can also use SnoPAY to make a one-time payment without enrolling. There is no fee.

The PUD website also features videos covering a range of topics, including energy saving tips for consumers and businesses, electrical safety, green energy, power outage tips, tidal energy and compact fluorescent lights.
