The city of Arlington is in the early planning stages of developing a new roadway, 173rd Street NE, between Smokey Point Boulevard and 43rd Avenue NE. The community is invited to attend an information meeting on Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. in the Arlington Council Chambers located behind City Hall at 238 N. Olympic Ave.

The city has procured right-of-way on the far west edge of the proposed alignment (adjacent to Smokey Point Blvd.) and is readying to perform a survey of the alignment. In addition, the city wants to reach out and partner with citizens and neighbors along the new alignment to discuss various planning ideas and concepts. Your opportunity to participate in the planning of a new road section in Arlington’s Smokey Point neighborhood begins with the Dec. 2 informational meeting.
