ARLINGTON — The Arlington Public Schools are adding a new full-time tuition-based kindergarten program in each elementary school for families who are interested in Monday through Friday kindergarten.

The two current sessions of half-time kindergarten meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday, or on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays. The new Monday through Friday program will provide additional opportunities for socialization and reinforcement of academic skills.

The state of Washington funds a half-time kindergarten program and the second half of the time requires tuition to be paid by parents. A deposit of $100 is due at the time of registration. Monthly tuition is set at $265 per month for 10 months.

Families who qualify for free or reduced lunch are eligible for free or reduced tuition. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis and interested families can contact Andrea Conley at 360-618-6217.
