ARLINGTON — The Arlington Community Food Bank is moving to its temporary location at the Arlington Municipal Airport, and volunteers are needed to help in the transition in the middle of the busy holiday season.

On Friday, Dec. 2, the food bank will begin moving after its 3 p.m. distribution. Volunteers should meet at its current location at 137 N. Cox St. by Haller Park.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, volunteers will need to tear out shelves from the existing food bank and move its remaining things to its new location. Work will begin around 9 a.m. that day and continue into Sunday, Dec. 4, and Monday, Dec. 5, if needed, so that the food bank will be able to open for business at its new location on Tuesday, Dec 6.

The Arlington Community Food Bank's temporary new location will be at 18810 59th Dr. NE in Arlington.

"Please consider lending a hand to this organization that does so much to serve those in need in our community," said A.J. Chase of the Rotary Club of Arlington.

Volunteers are asked to RSVP via email with Cindy Moe at cindymoe.elite@gmail.com.
