First Baptist Church collects for mosquito nets, showcases vacation Bible school

ARLINGTON — The First Baptist Church in Arlington is inviting community members to check out its vacation Bible school while also contributing to help prevent the spread of disease overseas.

From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, and Friday, June 29, the First Baptist Church will be collecting donations to send mosquito netting to other countries, to combat the transmission of malaria, at the same time that the 175 children and 75 adult helpers in its vacation Bible school will be showcasing activities including songs, stories, puppet shows and games, with snacks for the kids.
