New public radio station seeks community input

March 25, 2013 · 11:15 PM

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Library will serve as the site for the first in a series of community forums during which the KSER Foundation will be inviting the public to provide input on how a new independent public radio station — 89.9 KXIR FM — might best serve the north Puget Sound region when it launches later this year.

The Marysville Library will host the community forum on Thursday, March 28, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., but for those who are unable to attend, an online survey form is available at www.kxir.org until May 31.

The nonprofit KSER Foundation currently serves the north Puget Sound region with 90.7 KSER FM, an independent public radio station in Everett. KSER offers local news, information and a wide range of cultural, educational and music programs. As a radio station whose goal is to serve as a forum for diverse community voices and views in Snohomish and Island counties, KSER is proud to sponsor the annual Voice of the Community Award.
