Army Reserve unit to observe Earth Day

MARYSVILLE — The U.S. Army Reserve’s 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command plans to observe this year’s Earth Day with some environmental stewardship of its own.

The unit’s soldiers will plant a tree at the Armed Forces Reserve Center at 13613 40th Ave. NE in Marysville at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 22.

Mayors and local officials from a number of Snohomish County communities also plan to attend.

Earth Day was first observed on April 22, 1970, and is an international event to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
