EVERETT — An art exhibition that will benefit Cocoon House is scheduled to take place during December.
“The Spirit of Giving” will take place at the Everett Art Gallery Annex at 9308 Evergreen Way, and feature a number of local artists from throughout Snohomish County and beyond, exhibitions director Diana Wunderle said.
A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Cocoon House, which serves as the county’s only resource for homeless and at-risk youth aged 13-17.
The organization operates a shelter in Arlington.
“The artists are excited to be helping the kids,” Wunderle said. “We targeted what we feel are the leading causes of homelessness and how we can best channel funding to the kids.”
Proceeds will also benefit the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women in Everett.
A wide range of art will be on hand during the exhibit, which began Dec. 4 and runs until Jan. 2.
There is no cost to attend the event.
The gallery is open from 2-6 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays.
