ARLINGTON — The Cocoon House Teen Shelter in Arlington is seeking volunteers to prepare one evening meal a month at the shelter.

Volunteers would be asked to work alongside the Cocoon Shelter’s youth to create a nutritious dinner for up to six residents, said Kay Duskin, vice chairwoman of the organization’s board of directors.

Individuals must be able to pass a Washington state Department of Social and Health Services background check and be willing to commit to one weekday evening per month, Duskin said.

Volunteers may provide the Cocoon House staff with shopping needs and meal ideas, but the necessary ingredients will be provided.

For more information, contact Steven Sterling, program manager, at 425-259-6042 or at steven.sterling@cocoonhouse.org.
