ARLINGTON — A bake and book sale benefitting the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society and Library is taking place March 6.

Proceeds from the event, which goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 135 North Olympic Avenue, will go toward the nonprofit's expenses, such as rent, said head librarian Michele Heiderer.

Heiderer said she will be in attendance at 1 p.m. to answer questions regarding adoption and missing-relative searches.

"Stop by and visit our library, talk with a genealogist, or pick up a book and a home made goodie," she said. "We have some ladies that are some good bakers."

The Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society and Library was founded in 1985. The library contains a number of rare books, microfilm and microfiche sets and a CD collection, and can help residents find both local and national information.
