Tulalip Lions Club, PC Recycle of Arlington collect 'e-waste'

TULALIP — The Tulalip Lions Club is teaming up with PC Recycle of Arlington to help area techies dispose of their old or outdated electronics in an environmentally safe way.

Both groups will be collecting "e-waste" at the northeast corner of the Tulalip Home Depot lot, located at 9310 34th Ave NE., June 25-26 from noon to 4 p.m.

"This Lions electronic recycle project will improve the environment and our community at the same time," Tulalip Lions Club President Keith Osburn said. "It exemplifies our ongoing commitment to provide a healthier and safer place to live, work and play."

All proceeds from donations will go to the Tulalip Lions Club's community service projects.

The Tulalip Lions Club meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at noon at the Canoes Cabaret in the Tulalip Resort Casino, located at 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd. In addition to environmental projects, the club also recycles eye glasses and cell phones, contributes to Tulalip Boys & Girls Club projects, provides free books to schools and works with Tulalip elders and seniors.
