ARLINGTON — The Arlington Farmers' Market is growing with the goal of being a valuable community resource. The market and the city of Arlington have worked together to present the following upcoming family-friendly activities in Legion Park during the month of August.
On Aug. 20, local photographer Lindsey Norton, of Photography by Lindsey, will set up a photo booth for families or individuals to have free portraits taken. Those who have their photos taken will receive their digital files for free, with donations appreciated. The Arlington Library will present "Story Time at the Market" on the following Saturday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with free kids' crafts.
All of these events are in addition to the market's regular features, which include free kids' activities and live local music. The market also participates in "Super Saturday" on the first Saturday of every month, and accepts WIC and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition vouchers.
