Barrick wins second place in Snohomish juried show

Rocky Barrick’s “Running Through the Fog” took second place at the Arts of Snohomish Gallery juried show that ran through the end of September. A few weeks back, he won “Best Drawing” award at the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival for a pencil sketch of a crow. The October show at Arts of Snohomish features two women “Two Artists, Two Visions” with Kathy Sterly’s oil paintings and watercolors by Allene Soshea. An opening reception is set for 5-7 p.m., Oct. 5, at 105 Cedar Ave. in downtown Snohomish. Barrick is an active member of the Arlington Arts Council and has donated a piece for the AAC’s upcoming Fall into Art Auction set for  Oct. 18.
