ARLINGTON — A Highland Christian girls' vocal ensemble will be holding its spring concert June 3.

The concert, which takes place in the school's auditorium at 7:30 p.m., by Cum Laude, will feature music from five centuries, including motets, Broadway and movie scores, barbershop singing, folk songs and vocal jazz.

Comprised of nine students who meet each school day for practice at 7 a.m., Cum Laude recently completed a concert tour of lower British Columbia, Canada, and sang at three different schools.

Music from that tour will be performed at the June concert.

Members of Cum Laude are Esther Brown, Blake Fisher, Sarah Gieseking, Tamra Green, Katrina Overgaard, Kjirsti Overgaard, Samantha Schweizer, Kayla Sytsma and Pauline Walker.

The concert is free.

Highland Christian is located at 135 S. French Avenue NE, Arlington.
