Come on and take a free ride at Arlington Airport Community Appreciation Day

Hundreds of people turned out for the annual Arlington Airport Appreciation Day last weekend. It was reported that more than 200 kids ages 8-17 received free rides from the 15 pilots who donated their time for the event. The nonprofit Experimental Aircraft Association Young Eagles set up the rides. Kids could also check out simulators, and there also were helicopter rides available for a fee this year. Moving the date within the school year was credited with helping the turnout.
