MARYSVILLE – Norman Foote performed new and old children’s songs to open the Summer Children’s Concert series in Marysville on Wednesday.

The free concerts are noon Wednesdays at the Lions Centennial Pavilion at Jennings Park, 6915 Armar Road.

Dozens of children and their caregivers attended to enjoy a lunch hour of interactive, rip-roaring dance music made all the more fun by for his outrageous props and off-beat sense of humor.

The other concerts this summer feature acts that stay busy on the children’s summer concert circuit.

The Aug. 2 features award-winning children’s singer, songwriter and author Eric Ode. whose upbeat performances will keep the kiddoes hopping.

The series will wrap onAug. 16 with Brian Vogan and His Good Buddies.

The band’s blend of danceable tunes for kids and parents has had them perform at northwest venues including Bumbershoot and Northwest Folklife.
