MARYSVILLE – A few dozen people attended the first Coffee with a Cop event in Marysville this week at The Creamery. Visitors spoke with police about traffic concerns, homelessness and drug addiction. Attendees also wanted to know what it’s like to be a copy and what’s needed for a law enforcement career. Byron and Kim Muck were there with information about Neighborhood Watch. Attendees ranged in age from preschoolers to senior citizens. Councilmen Mark James and Tom King attended, along with Police Chief Rick Smith and many others on the police force. The event went over so well Marysville police plan to make it a monthly event. Connie Mennie/Courtesy Photo
