Gold Rush presentation set for June 12
May 31, 2012 · 6:10 PM
ARLINGTON — The Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society will host a presentation by Pat Manning about the Alaska Gold Rush of the 1890s on June 12 from 1-2 p.m. at the Arlington Free Methodist Church.
The title of the presentation is "Stern Wheels on the Yukon," as Manning's grandparents were a part of the Gold Rush, particularly with the use of stern wheelers on the Yukon. Manning has researched the era and will share her research results, which may apply to family genealogy researchers and those interested in that period of history and location.
The presentation is set to take place in Room 605 of the Arlington Free Methodist Church, located at 730 E. Highland Dr. in Arlington. For more information on this free event call 360-435-4469.
