ARLINGTON — The Snohomish Conservation District is hosting a fencing demonstration and farm tour on Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Victoria Heights area north of Arlington.

Monte Geerdes, local fence contractor, will teach participants how to make strong H-braces, install insulators, and build a strong, reliable wire fence.

The class is free and will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can drop in at any time during the three-hour class, but pre-registration is required at fencedemo.eventbrite.com.

The family hosting the fencing event has a five-acre farm with three horses and two donkeys. The event is funded by a water quality grant from the Department of Ecology.
