Santa Run begins Dec. 5

Beginning Saturday, Dec. 5, at

5 p.m. the annual Arlington Fire Department Santa Run will kick off starting in the 4100 block of 166th Street.

Led by a fully decorated fire engine, Santa and his team of helpers made up of Fire Department personnel, city of Arlington employees, and a variety of local civic groups all volunteering their time, will be out and about town greeting smiling faces and collecting donations for the Arlington Food Bank.

“Last year we handed out thousands of candy canes, collected over a thousand dollars and 6,665 pounds of non-perishable food for the Arlington Food Bank,” said Ronda Davies, Firefighter and Santa Run lead organizer. While the Santa Run is pleased to help the local community with donations to the Arlington Food Bank, no donation is required. When you hear Santa’s Fire Truck siren, come outside and say hello.
