May 20 2010, 6:13 PM SMOKEY POINT — Washington State Patrol officials are investigating a deadly collision on Interstate 5 that claimed the life of a 51-year-old Stanwood man on May 19.

Detectives from the state patrol's Major Accident Investigation Team are looking for witnesses who saw the events leading up to the collision, which took place just before 1:30 p.m. near mile post 205 on northbound I-5.

The bank was robbed by an unshaven white male approximately 30-45 years in age. The suspect was described as being approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a medium build and sandy brown hair. The man was wearing a dark gray or black Carhart brand jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Lakewood School District hires new administrator

Tita Mallory, who spent the last eight years as director of curriculum, instruction and assessment for the Aberdeen School District, begins her new position with the district July 1.

Mallory takes over for Cathy Anderegg, who has held the position in Lakewood for the past two years.

Tulalip Police searching for suspects in armed robbery at Seattle Premium Outlet Mall
May 27 2010, 12:08 PM TULALIP - Tulalip Tribal Police are searching for two suspects in the armed robbery that took place at the Coach store at the Seattle Premium Outlets Mall at 7 a.m., Thursday, May 27.

According to Tulalip Tribal Police, two of the store's employees were preparing to open the store to customers when the bell rang for the delivery door at the back of the store.

Arlington, Marysville students graduate EvCC
Jun 09 2010, 7:10 AM EVERETT — A number of Arlington, Marysville and Lakewood residents will be among those graduating with honors from Everett Community College June 11.

The college’s commencement ceremony takes place at 7 p.m. at Comcast Arena, and seven local graduates have been named Everett Community College 2010 Outstanding Graduates.

Those 24 graduates include Beau Baker (engineering), Clyde Downing (physics), Susan Fulfs (business technology), Natali Gonzalez (cosmetology) and Connor Woodward (chemistry) from Marysville and Sharil Kallstrom (nursing) and Jongseo Park (mathematics) from Arlington.
