MARYSVILLE - On Thursday evening at approximately 5:05 p.m. Marysville Police responded to investigate an armed robbery of the Union Bank located in the 1000 block of State Avenue. The bank was robbed by an unshaven white male approximately 30-45 years in age. The suspect was described as being approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a medium build and sandy brown hair. The man was wearing a dark gray or black Carhart brand jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood School District will soon have a new director of instructional programs and technology.Tita Mallory, who spent the last eight years as director of curriculum, instruction and assessment for the Aberdeen School District, begins her new position with the district July 1.
Mallory takes over for Cathy Anderegg, who has held the position in Lakewood for the past two years.
