Cats that survived tornado land in Arlington

More than 50 cats and kittens from the tornado-ravaged city of Joplin, Mo., were collected by representatives of the Northwest Organization for Animal Help in Stanwood and the Progressive Animal Welfare Society in Lynnwood, after receiving their initial examination on the tarmac.
Larsen holds telephone town hall on debt limit, deficit July 19

Larsen's telephone town hall will focus on the debt limit debate and the work he's doing to tackle the nation's debt and deficit problem. He'll host the call from his office in Washington, D.C., starting at 5:55 p.m. Pacific Time on July 19, and he's invited his constituents from across the 2nd Congressional District to take part by sharing their thoughts and asking questions about those issues.

Armed Forces Reserve Center opening delayed until fall
The 100,000-square-foot Armed Forces Reserve Center at 136th Street NE in north Marysville isn’t expected to start hosting Army Reserve and National Guard drills until at least September. - Kirk Boxleitner Jul 27 2011, 10:18 AM The 100,000-square-foot facility being built just south of the Navy Support Complex in north Marysville won’t be completed by its projected date this month. The $33 million Armed Forces Reserve Center at 136th Street NE has been designed to support six Reserve units and three National Guard commands, including more than 250 soldiers from the Army Reserve’s 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, headquartered at Fort Lawton in Seattle, and approximately 300 traditional National Guardsmen currently stationed at the Everett National Guard Armory.
Everett Clinic plans Lakewood facility

The Everett Clinic broke ground on its planned two-story, 60,000-square-foot, $24 million facility north of 172nd Street NE and west of I-5 on July 21, as Everett Clinic Chief Operating Officer Mark Mantei explained that the 3.6-acre site would serve as the grounds for an even bigger building than their branch in Smokey Point, hosting a broader cross-section of health care services than any Everett Clinic outside of their main offices in Everett itself.
