Arlington woman dies in crash

ARLINGTON — A 32-year-old Arlington woman died Thursday, Aug. 26, after the car she was driving crossed the center line and struck a Ford truck head one, according to authorities.

The two car collision took place just at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 15200 block of 67th Avenue NE just north of 152nd Street NE.

Arlington Fire Department crews worked rapidly to extricate the driver from her vehicle but were unable to do so. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in Ford was transported to a local hospital with serious yet non life-threatening injuries.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Rebecca Hover of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said that speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.

As of 4:30 p.m., Arlington Support 46 Chaplains and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department were on the scene investigating the accident. A section of 67th Ave NE was closed until about 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
