Vehicle crashes into vacant store front; two other businesses damaged in Arlington

ARLINGTON - At about 12:30 p.m., May 13, the Arlington police and fire departments responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a vacant store front in the 100 block of W. 5th St in downtown Arlington. Upon arrival, crews found a 1999 Toyota SUV driven by an 82-year-old woman from Florida completely inside of one of the business units. In all, three units sustained damage in the crash, including two occupied units.

The driver of the vehicle was transported by Arlington Fire to Cascade Valley Hospital for evaluation and treatment. A patron of the Cinderella Beauty Salon and an employee from Panaderia La Flor De Mexico were also transported by Arlington Fire to Cascade Valley Hospital for minor injuries.

Cause of the accident is under investigation.
