Shortly before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17,  one of the ground teams reported finding missing hiker Dan Anderson in the Miner's Creek area, according to Rebecca Hover of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

Anderson, a Washington State Patrol officer, is a Marysville resident and is a former Arlington City Council member. He had been missing since Sunday, May 15.

"He is alive and in good condition. Rescuers are working on a plan to bring him out of the area via helicopter but those details haven't been finalized yet," Hover said in a press release.  "It is also unknown at this time where he'll be flown,"

"We can't give enough praise to the search and rescue volunteers on this mission who meticulously followed every snowshoe track, every detail to find Dan. This is a rugged, treacherous area and these people risked their lives to find him," Hover added.

Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
