Arlington fire crews respond to house fire that claims life

ARLINGTON — On Wednesday, Feb. 15, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Arlington fire crews were dispatched to a residential fire in the 18600 block of Silverleaf Place NE. On arrival, fire crews found heavy fire showing at the home.

Additional units from Arlington Rural Fire District 21, Silvana Fire District 19 and the Marysville Fire District also responded to the fire. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes.

Firefighters located one victim during their efforts to extinguish the fire. Two cats were also lost in the fire.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal and Arlington Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
