Arlington man arrested for hit and run on Mountain Loop highway

ARLINGTON — Detectives arrested a 53-year-old Arlington man in connection with the injured woman who was found on the Mountain Loop Highway near 119th Street NE on the evening of Monday, Oct. 1.
The man admitted to detectives that he and the woman were arguing and that she wanted to get out of his vehicle. She jumped from the vehicle while it was still moving. The suspect allegedly drove over the victim accidentally, then fled the scene. A cell phone found at the scene led detectives to the identities of both the suspect and the victim.
The victim is a 58-year-old Arlington woman who was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The suspect was arrested on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 2, for felony hit and run.
