ARLINGTON — According to Shari Ireton, director of communications for the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, missing person Joanne E. Kay has been found "alive and well."

Snohomish County Sheriff's detectives had sought the public's assistance in locating Kay, who had been missing since leaving Cascade Valley Hospital on Nov. 16 of this year.

The 74-year-old woman's family believed that she left the hospital either on foot or by taxicab.

Kay had not returned to her residence or contacted any of her friends in the interim.
