LGCC awards scholarships

The Lake Goodwin Community Club has provided five $1,000 scholarships for 2007.
The recipients are Tanja Davenport and Kelvin Mansfield from Lakewood High School, Kelsey Cline from Stanwood High School, home-schooled student Andrew Curtis, and Miranda Rogers (granddaughter of club members Jim and Nina Rogers).
All five are outstanding students and have been accepted to four-year colleges. The Lake Goodwin Community Club wishes them well.
The club members are now working on their 2008 scholarship fund with their annual garage sale, bake sale, lunch and silent auction to be held June 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The club is located at 17323 42nd Ave. NW (near the Lake Goodwin fire station). Tables are still available for $15 each or two for $25. Call 360-652-9786 for information.
