Swags raise money for dictionaries

Arlington Kiwanis Club member Sherri Phelps presents dictionaries to John Smith and Lilly Whitehead, students at Cougar Creek Elementary School in Lakewood. The Kiwanis Club has been partnering with the Friends of the Arlington Library for five years to give dictionaries to all third graders in Arlington and Lakewood. The dictionary project is made possible through the sale of swags for the holiday season and those swags are now available from any Kiwanis Club member and at Flowers by George, at 335 N. Olympic Ave. in downtown Arlington. For information call 360-435-8573.
More swags at LHS
Swags are also available through the Lakewood High School and must be ordered in advance and can be picked up at the school during the Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce general membership meeting Tuesday, Dec. 12, if they are ordered in advance. Cost is $15. The Lakewood wreathe project his a fundraiser for DECA, FCCLA and the LHS Greenhouse. To order a swag call LHS at 360-652-4502.
