Snohomish County Public Works is installing a new pillar under the former railroad bridge at Cicero, eight miles east of Arlington on SR 530. The bridge is being maintained for future use as the Whitehorse recreational trail on the former railroad line from Arlington to Darrington. The county has a permit to work in the Stillaguamish River North Fork until Aug. 15, said project engineer Gary Menne. We wont be done by then, but well be out of the river.
