Remember Pearl Harbor

ARLINGTON The Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Association will pay its annual tribute to all military service men and women in conjunction with Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Friday, Dec. 7.
We gather in cooperation with military associations and related organizations, said Marty Rausch, coordinator of the event.
We all join together in comradeship and mutual admiration.
Family members, interested parties, and students have joined in previous years and all are invited to attend.
The program is very simple, Rausch said.
The flag is presented and taps is played, then all are invited inside Pioneer Hall for coffee, cookies and soft drinks, to help keep the feeling of a USO or Red Cross hosted event.
Veterans can log in with name, rank and military unit if they wish, or may just observe. Every year has always brought some moving surprise, Rausch said.
Its an opportunity to reunite with friends and meet new ones, and to say thank you for risking and giving so much.
The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Hall, 20722 67th Ave NE, in Arlington.
