March 30 deadline approaches for many scholarships via Dollars for Scholars
ARLINGTON After receiving $15,000 from the Stillaguamish Tribes recent distribution of funds, Arlingtons Dollars for Scholars is anxiously seeking applicants for its upcoming round of scholarships.
Last year we had money that was not even applied for, said George Boulton, one of the founding members of Arlingtons branch of the national Dollars for Scholars organization.
The school districts career centers arent getting the word out very well, Boulton said.
The best way to apply is on the Web site, Boulton said. Go to ArlingtonDFS.org.
The deadline for this years round of scholarships from up to 30 different organizations is March 30. The national Dollars for Scholars matches local funds for scholarships to help graduating seniors continue their education.
