Arlington Rotarian Judy Cartwright stands in front of the sign identifying the Rotary Club of Arlingtons Disc Golf Course, which the club helped fund with proceeds from last years Great Stilly Duck Dash. Cartwright is one of two enducktees in an exclusive club of Rotary Ducks that are enduckted each year just in time the annual Great Stilly Duck Dash, the clubs major fundraiser for the year. Each year the Rotary Club of Arlington names one girl duck and one boy duck to represent the club and promote tickets sales for the rubber duck race on the Stillaguamish River which starts with the blast of a cannon at 7:30 p.m. on the Fourth of July. Along with Cartwright, John Peeters is the boy duck this year. The ducks hover around town during the weeks before the Duck Dash, and word has it, this year, they have been frequenting the towns bars on Friday night. Check next weeks Arlington Times for the winners of the Duck Dash and the grand total of how much was raised from the duck raffle this year.

Wheres the Fourth of July coverage?
Due to the Fourth of July landing on Wednesday, The Arlington Times does not include the results of the Duck Dash, the Grand Parade and the Pedal, Paddle, Puff because the paper was printed on Tuesday before the Fourth. The results will appear in the July 11 issue.
