Space available in chamber phone directory

ARLINGTON The deadline for purchasing advertisements in Arlingtons own telephone directory is not until March, but local businesses are encouraged to book their space as soon as possible.
You dont want to wait until the end, because you might be out of luck, said the executive director of the Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce, Sharon Shaw.
The directory is distributed to 17,000 households in the Arlington area and will have an expanded color section in the yellow pages this year to help make it a comprehensive guide to doing business in Arlington.
We have added more space for color ads, Shaw said.
This handy little book makes it easy for the residents of Arlington to shop here in Arlington.
The nearly 100-page directory includes a guide to Arlington resources, including the city of Arlingtons offices, the areas schools, churches, community groups and other useful services, as well as a complete schedule of Arlington-area events in the front section.
The book also contains a list of chamber members with contact information to make it easy to shop chamber members first.
We mail the book to any request from people looking to move here as well as tourists looking for information, Shaw said adding the book will be available in all hotel rooms in the area.
And its a very good rate for the whole year of exposure. she added. Prices range from $80 to $1,500 in this compact and easy to read telephone directory that serves the greater Arlington area.
Those who join the chamber are eligible for discounts but its not a requirement to be a member to be in the book, Shaw said.
We hope to make this a complete guide to Arlington area businesses, Shaw said.
