SMOKEY POINT For Mark Monty, the Nov. 8 grand opening of Edward Jones Investments in Smokey Point was a bit of a homecoming.
I grew up in Arlington, said Monty, a financial advisor with the recently opened Edward Jones branch, before gesturing to the buildings in the Smokey Point area. None of this was here back then. We had a fruit stand and a baseball field out here. Its great to be back here, and to be a part of the community again.
Edward Jones is licensed for securities and investment, and state-licensed for life and long-term care insurance. Among Arlington and Marysville clients, Monty anticipates the biggest demand will be for retirement-related services.
The baby-boomer generation is just starting to hit that age, Monty said. The first baby-boomer applied for social security last month. Millions of people are going to want to know how they can retire and still afford practical things.
Monty noted that Edward Jones provides retirement, education and estate planning, as well as investment seminars and a full range of investment options, from stocks and bonds to mutual funds and IRAs.
This firm concerns itself exclusively with the needs of individual investors and small business owners, Monty said. Im happy to be bringing that kind of personalized service to this community.
Edward Jones Investments is located in Suite 14 at 3707 172nd St. NW in Arlington, and is open Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and evenings and weekends by appointment. You may contact Marty Monty by phone at 360-653-3916, or via e-mail at marty.monty@edwardjones.com.
