Body of elderly man, car found in wooded area

ARLINGTON The body of an elderly man and the 2001 Chevrolet Impala belonging to 85-year-old Jack Francis Roys of Arlington were found Aug. 12 in a wooded area along Main Line Road in unincorporated Arlington by two bear hunters.
Detectives examined the scene and found no evidence of foul play. The Snohomish County Medical Examiners Office will confirm the mans identity as well as determine the cause and manner of death.
Roys Impala was seen driving on the logging road July 26. Detectives believe the car got stuck in a ditch and the man got out of the vehicle. He did not have a cell phone with him. A tracker determined no one else had been at the scene or in the vehicle except the elderly man whose body was discovered outside the car.
Roys was reported missing July 29 by relatives who said they last saw him July 21. Detectives determined Roys had been at the Smokey Point Safeway July 25.
