Arlington business man David Boulton, president of Flowers by George, has been elected to the board of directors for the Society of American Florists.
A 27-year veteran in the industry, Boulton currently serves on the SAFs retailer's council and consumer marketing committee. He also served as a member of the association's technology task force and floral management advisory committee. He served as president, convention chairman and Washington state director of the Northwest Florists Association.
In Sept. 1994, Boulton was named in the prestigious ranks of SAF's American Academy of Floriculture in recognition to his contributions to the industry.
He graduated from the Elva Mae School of Floral Design in Fullerton, Calif.
"We're very pleased to have David on the board of directors," said SAF President Rod Saline, of Engwall Florist and Greenhouses in Duluth, Minn.
"He is a respected member of the floral community who brings considerable experience to the table."
