North County Fire/EMS Firefighters and baristas from the Stanwood Starbucks stores worked together this holiday season to help collect food for the Stanwood and Arlington food banks and toys for the Stanwood and Arlington Christmas Houses. In total they were able to raise approximately 7,500 pounds of food along with some cash donations and over 750 new toys to be presented to the local communities, Battalion Chief Christian Davis of North County Fire/EMS. “Despite the weather and other challenges, this was a record year for collections,” Davis said. “Everyone was truly touched to see such an outpouring of support from the community. It is truly a privilege to be part of such a wonderful community who truly help each other in their time of need. We would like to thank everyone for stopping by our Starbuck Stores and Fire Station drop-off locations. It all made a great difference for those who needed the assistance. We wish everyone a happy and safe new year.” - Courtesy photo
