February 5, 2009 · 1:48 PM
SMOKEY POINT — Starting Feb. 8, Route 201 between Smokey Point and Lynnwood will begin weekday southbound trips at the old Smokey Point Transit Center, just west of the current start point at 174th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard. This change gives passengers a sheltered waiting area, but there is no public parking. Route 201 is also one of several routes that will have changes ranging from five to 10 minutes. It's weekend trips still will start at the Stillaguamish Senior Center and will not serve the Smokey Point Transit Center. Buses will stop at 174th and Smokey Point Boulevard. Route 201 northbound trips will continue to the Stillaguamish Senior Center via the same streets as Routes 200 and 202.
Route 230, between Smokey Point and Arlington, will begin its eastbound trips at the old Smokey Point Transit Center.
