Centennial Trail Coalition meets June 15

ARLINGTON — The spring meeting of the Centennial Trail Coalition of Snohomish County will be start at 7 p.m., June 15, at the Arlington Boys and Girls Club, 17750 59th Ave. NE, Arlington.

The time period for the use of the grant was extended and Snohomish County is now working feverishly to get the bid documents out and phase two of the trail construction started as quickly as possible, according to Bea Randall, chair of the Centennial Trail Coalition.

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen has gotten a proposal for money to close “The Gap” between 152nd and 172nd streets included in the national transportation bill, which is now in committee.

The next meeting will be a picnic at the Machias Trailhead on Sept. 13.
