Arlington Police investigate Dec. 12 assault

ARLINGTON – On Saturday, Dec. 12, at approximately 1 a.m. Arlington Police received a report of an assault in progress at the corner of Fourth Street and Olympic Avenue in downtown Arlington.

Upon arrival, officers found a 40-year old Arlington man on the ground and unresponsive. Officers provided initial aid to the man, including CPR. After their arrival, crews from Arlington Fire provided additional aid and continued CPR. The man was transported by Arlington Fire to Harborview Medical Center with extensive injuries.

A 40-year-old Arlington man has been detained as a person of interest in the assault. A 21-year-old Arlington man was arrested at the scene and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for outstanding warrants. Arlington Detectives continue to investigate his involvement in the assault.
