At about 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle crash in the 28200 block of 15th Ave. N.E. Arlington.
A single vehicle, believed to have been traveling southbound on 15th Ave., left the roadway and apparently rolled and ejected some of the occupants. A 19-year-old male, believed to be the driver, died at the scene. Two other male passengers, ages 17 and 19, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Two female passengers, believed to be 15 years old, suffered injuries but their extent is not known at this time; the injuries are not immediately believed to be life threatening. Hometowns for the occupants are not known at this time.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit was called to the scene and is conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of this fatal crash. It is initially believed that speed is a factor. Drivers are reminded that roadways, especially those in rural areas, are icy and safe driving is a must.
