LAKEWOOD — School Board members will be holding a special meeting to discuss budget-related items and other topics during a special board meeting Jan. 13.
The meeting will take place from 5-7 p.m. in the technology training lab at English Crossing Elementary School.
During the meeting, Board members are scheduled to discuss budget parameters for the 2010-2011 school year.
Lakewood School District Superintendent Dennis Haddock said the Board typically reviews enrollment projections, class size and staffing ratios, staff attrition and compensation during the budget portion of the meeting.
Board members will also hear from the district’s boundary task force, which will discuss the committee’s work up to date, said Haddock.
The task force has been developing boundary adjustments to try to reconfigure the district’s three elementary schools to K-5 schools next school year, he said.
That final task force recommendation will come in February.
Board operating principles will also be discussed during the meeting.
English Crossing Elementary School is located at 17110 16th Drive NE.
