ARLINGTON — Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon recently signed a proclamation recognizing February 2010 as Snohomish County CTE Month.

In front of about 15 local high school students on Feb. 10, Reardon signed the proclamation.

"We students at Arlington High School find that a large part of our school career is dedicated to CTE," said Arlington student and FFA member Colby Cavanaugh. "We do many activities in these groups and go all over the state for competitions, such as Pullman for FFA state. Our competitions and activities benefit skills, such as leadership and public speaking."

Cavanaugh was one of three Arlington students who attended the proclamation signing. Other students included Shanna Morcom and Stephanie Hilmo.
