OSO — A man apparently drove his vehicle off the road and crashed into a barn in Oso on Thursday, March 4.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Keith Leary said the 59-year-old man lost control of his steering wheel and his 1978 Buick went off the road in the 19900 block of SR 530 around noon and struck a dairy barn.

"The steering wheel actually popped off the steering column," Leary said.

No calves were injured. The driver had some slight neck pain after the collision, but did not report any injuries, he said.
