UPDATED | Marysville police investigating Thursday evening bank robbery

MARYSVILLE - On Thursday evening at approximately 5:05 p.m. Marysville Police responded to investigate an armed robbery of the Union Bank located in the 1000 block of State Avenue. The bank was robbed by an unshaven white male approximately 30-45 years in age. The suspect was described as being approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a medium build and sandy brown hair. The man was wearing a dark gray or black Carhart brand jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The suspect entered the bank, implied he had a weapon, and presented a note demanding money. He then fled westbound out the doorway with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.
This incident is under investigation by Marysville detectives, assisted by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Marysville detectives are asking anyone who has information regarding this incident, or who may assist in identifying the suspect to contact Detective Dan Vinson at 360-363-8300.
