LAKEWOOD — Those who reside in the Lakewood School District only have until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, to cast their ballots in the district's levy election.

Ballots must be either in the mail or submitted no later than 8 p.m., locally at the county ballot drop-off boxes at the Marysville Municipal Court, located at 1015 State Ave, or the Arlington Library, located at 135 N. Washington Ave., and in Everett at the Snohomish County Campus, where there are also drop-off boxes, and an assessable voting area at the Snohomish County Auditor's Office, which is available until 5 p.m.

Of the two levies on the ballot, the Replacement School Program and Operations Levy would continue a current levy that is scheduled to expire at the end of 2012, while the Capital Projects and Technology Levy would pay for upgrades and maintenance at the district's schools, along with technological upgrades.
