Injured man flown to Harborview after crash in Arlington

ARLINGTON – A man was flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and another was taken to an Arlington hospital after a crash Monday morning.

Arlington fire and police at 6:50 a.m. responded to a call that a sedan and delivery truck collided on 67th Avenue NE near 204th Street NE and the Arlington Cemetery.

Firefighters used equipment to cut away parts of the vehicle to get to the driver, who was airlifted to Harborview.

The truck driver was taken to Cascade Valley Hospital as a precaution, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.

The road was closed from 204th to 211th Place for about three hours for the investigation, roadway cleanup by city maintenance crews and towing the vehicles, Banfield said. It reopened at 10:30 a.m.
